These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to Korisec at korisec.com and app.korisec.com. By creating an account, running a scan, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The service
Korisec provides automated, non-intrusive security checks of publicly reachable website configuration. Results include scores, findings, and plain-English guidance. The service is intended for small business owners, shops, and agencies — not as a substitute for a full penetration test or managed security programme.
Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- Account information must be accurate and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding your credentials.
- Notify us promptly at if you suspect unauthorized access.
Permitted scanning only
You may only submit domains you own or have explicit written permission to scan. By checking the consent box or adding a domain, you represent that you have that permission. Unauthorized scanning is prohibited and may result in account termination and reporting to relevant parties.
Our scans are limited to passive and active checks against public endpoints (for example TLS certificates, DNS, HTTP headers, and reputation lists). You must not use Korisec to attack, disrupt, or probe systems beyond the scope of the service.
Free checks & trials
Quick checks on the marketing site and trial accounts are provided as-is, with reasonable rate limits to prevent abuse. We may modify or discontinue free features at any time.
Subscriptions & billing
- Paid plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice for future billing periods.
- Payments are processed by Paystack; their terms apply to payment transactions.
- Refunds are handled case-by-case for billing errors or significant service faults.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scan domains without permission
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls
- Reverse engineer, resell, or scrape the service without consent
- Use the service in violation of applicable law
- Upload malware or interfere with other users
Intellectual property
Korisec, its branding, software, and report formats remain our property or our licensors’. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service for your internal business purposes. Scan reports generated for your domains are yours to use internally and with your clients where appropriate.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. Security scanning cannot detect every issue. A good score does not guarantee that a site is free from vulnerabilities, compromise, or compliance with every regulation. You remain responsible for your websites, hosting, and compliance obligations.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Korisec and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; we may retain data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kenya unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law in your country.
